Mission Statement

The Vice Chancellor’s Cabinet of Student Leaders is an initiative developed in partnership between the VCSA and Vice Chancellor Fellow. Student leaders will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and other student leaders representing a diverse range of groups and departments across our campus. The Cabinet will be composed of approximately 30 student representatives who are currently serving as student leaders, members of student advisory boards or are affiliated with student community centers.

The dialogue with Cabinet members across the different groups will increase and broaden engagement with the Vice Chancellor’s Office directly. If there are any issues or items that staff would like student feedback on throughout the year, the Cabinet will serve as a direct point of contact to discuss these. In addition, it will allow us to be more proactive and learn about potential issues before they become more widespread. The overall goal is to deepen the partnership with students broadly across the campus.
